The Tsuut’ina Nation and Canderel have partnered to develop Taza — one of the largest First Nations developments in North America. Master-planned to embrace culture, sustainability, and forward-thinking solutions, together we are creating experiences and opportunities like no other.

The Nation

The Tsuut’ina Nation is approximately 10 kilometers by 30 kilometers in area, encompassing approximately 75,000 acres with a shared border along southwest Calgary.

Fully independent, the Tsuut’ina Nation is governed by Chief and Council and operates all of its own Administration, Business and Social Services programs, including their own Tosguna (Police) and Fire Departments.

Several long running business ventures have been in existence at Tsuut’ina, including: Sarcee Gravel, Tsuut’ina Energy Corp, Redwood Meadows Golf and Country Club, Chief David Crowchild Commercial Centre (Tsuut’ina Gas Stop), and Tsuut’ina Contracting. Of particular note, the Nation opened the prestigious Grey Eagle Casino in 2007, with a major expansion in 2014 that included the addition of a major event centre and new hotel.
